Greek Pasta Bake

Ingredients -
1/2 pound Ground Beef
1/2 pound Ground Lamb
1 large Onion, chopped
4 Garlic Cloves, minced
3 teaspoons Dried Oregano
1 teaspoon Dried Basil
1/2 teaspoon Salt
1/4 teaspoon Pepper
1/4 teaspoon Dried Thyme
1 can (15 ounces) Tomato Sauce
1 can (14-1/2 ounces) diced Tomatoes, undrained
1 tablespoon Fresh Lemon Juice
1 teaspoon Sugar
1/4 teaspoon Ground Cinnamon
2 cups Uncooked Rigatoni or Large Tube Pasta
4 ounces Feta Cheese, crumbled
Preparation:

1. Brown beef and lamb in large skillet until no longer pink. Drain off excess fat.

2. Stir in onion, garlic, dried oregano, dried basil, salt, pepper and dried thyme.

3. Stir in tomato sauce, diced tomatoes, and fresh lemon juice.

4. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer uncovered 20 minutes. Stir occasionally.

5. Stir in sugar and ground cinnamon. Simmer additional 15 minutes.

6. In the meantime, prepare pasta according to instructions. Drain. Stir into meat mixture.

7. Transfer all to large, greased baking dish. Sprinkle Feta cheese over top.

8. Cover with foil. Bake 45 minutes at 325 F. for 45 minutes. Uncover and bake additional 15 minutes.
